Probably not a lager, actually, as this new bar - only accessible through the back of a laundrette - is a cocktail bar. How about a white russian with your whites?

Another "clandestine" bar has opened, following in the steps of Le Syndicat (which now has tables outside making it considerably less "hidden") and the Moonshiner to name but a few.
Lavomatic, located in my all-time favourite area between the canal and République, is a bar whose entrance is via a laundrette/laundromat. Up the stairs you go, to the first floor, and voilà Lavomatic!
The bar itself is less "speakeasy" and more "bright n'breezy" with light and colourful decorations including a couple of swings for chairs. As well as a long cocktail list, they also do small food plates for under 10€.
